| Marina di Pietrasanta is a beach resort of the Versilia
Riviera, a few km from Lido di Camaiore,
Viareggio and Forte
dei Marmi. Tall shady pine trees are a feature of Marina which itself
is divided into 4 districts: Fiumetto, Tonfano, Motrone and Focette, all
of which are very popular offering the visitors everything from hotels and
night clubs to sports facilities. |
The famous Villa della Versiliana is situated in a large
wood of mostly pine and ancient trees. During the summer, musical and
cultural events take place.

| In Marina di Pietrasanta and the surrounding
area there are many recreational and sporting facilities which include an
18 hole golf course (to international standard), tennis clubs, football,
gyms, horse-riding, roller-blading, a rifle range, bike moped hire and a
modern 8 lane athletics track. Not forgetting the many attractions of sea
such as sailing, windsurfing, surfing and bodysurfing and also the mountains
where there are well-marked paths for walkers and pony trekkers. |
